Students are central to everything we do at WCMS. Through the education they receive and the opportunities the School provides for personal growth, whether it is experiencing the joy of singing, engendering an appreciation for music, or building confidence through public performances, students discover the many ways that music can enrich their lives.

Music programs must be constantly developed, evaluated, and renewed to respond to ever-changing needs of our community. Over the last decade, WCMS has worked diligently to build robust music education offerings. We believe students should have the opportunity to supplement private lessons with in-depth class study in theory and composition, ensembles, as well as performance opportunities within our “Home for Music” and in the greater WCMS community.

Our latest innovative offering is the Underground @WCMS, a program of ensembles, workshops, and classes in modern music and recording. As we look to the future, we envision that additional creative programs in early childhood education, adult education, and ensembles will only make WCMS more vital to our community.
