Guitar (ages 10-adult)
The How to Play Guitar Class @ WCMS will teach you to play guitar in a fun, relaxed
group setting. Our experienced, patient, and caring guitar staff will have you making
music in no time!
Students of How to Play Guitar will leave class with:
- An ability to name the parts of the guitar and their function
- A greater sense of proper technique
- Ability to tune
- A few strumming patterns
- Open position chords: C, A, G, E, D, A minor, E minor, etc...
- Greater sense of how to read chord charts and other forms of notation
- Ability to play a few tunes
- Increased knowledge of the guitar’s history and cultural impact
- A desire to learn more!
Yamaha acoustic guitars are provided for all participants who don’t own a guitar.
Please bring your own guitar if you do currently own one.
Tuition: $90 (4 classes)
