Special Annual Events

Each year, WCMS hosts a variety of Specials Events that attract students, families and friends from our neighboring communities. All of the events listed below are free and open to the public:

MusicFest (Fall)

Experience the Music School at a fun-filled open house event for the whole community! MusicFest features performances, a musical petting zoo, workshops, demonstration classes, and musical activities for all ages. Come for an hour, stay for the afternoon!

Music MAYnia Performathon (Spring)

Students provide five hours of continuous music for families, friends, and the community to raise awareness and funds for our financial-aid program. Join us for wonderful music, games and activities for all ages, and a great cause!

Concerts for Kids! (Winter/Spring)

A special series of three concerts for young children and their parents to enjoy an interactive performance, featuring music from the classical, jazz and rock genres. Ideal for ages 4 and up.

Faculty Rock Band Concert (Fall)

Faculty from the Underground@WCMS program join forces to perform covers from iconic rock albums and classic rock hits.

Faculty Chamber Music Concert (Winter)

Faculty members and their musician friends play in duos, trios and other small ensembles for a Sunday afternoon of chamber music.

Faculty Jazz Combo Concert (Spring)

In celebration of National Jazz Appreciation Month, we host a faculty jazz combo concert each April where our faculty and their musical colleagues perform jazz standards and original works.
