Percussion Ensemble (Grades 4-10)
Per semester (16 one-hour classes): $400.00, 10% discount for WCMS private lesson
students
Group 1: Tuesday, 5:45-6:45 p.m.
Group 2: Meets Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening; time to be arranged with
instructor after the initial audition and availability of all interested candidates.
The final class consists of a warm-up rehearsal and performance.

Are you tired of always playing in the back of the band? If so, percussion ensemble
is for you! This ensemble provides a great opportunity for percussion students to
play independently while developing ensemble skills. Percussion ensemble literature
is designed to enhance a student’s musicianship in all areas of percussion playing.
Students will play a variety of instruments. Percussion ensemble complements school
band programs and private lessons. Two years of percussion playing and a successful
audition with the ensemble director is required.

Placement Auditions for Spring Semester:
Call or email us to schedule an audition appointment with the ensemble director.
Requirements: One piece of student's choice on both snare drum and mallet percussion;
sight-reading.
