Summer Percussion Ensemble Week for Ages 11-16
Summer Percussion is a week-long program designed to introduce young musicians to playing percussion instruments. It's a great way to try out percussion in a fun group setting. Summer Percussion also includes a Percussion Ensemble component for those students who have at least two years of prior playing experience.

INTRODUCTION TO PERCUSSION (Ages 7 & 8, with no prior experience)
Learn by doing! Explore rhythm, learn about the drum family in a group percussion
class, and make music together in a group marimba class.
- Rhythm & Movement Class, daily from 9-10 AM
- Rhythm & Percussion Class, daily from 10-11 AM
- Intro to Percussion Instruments Class, daily from 11 AM-12 PM
- Musical Presentation for Family & Friends on final day at 11:15 AM
Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM daily
Tuition: TBA + TBA materials fee

EXPLORE PERCUSSION (Ages 9-12, with little or no prior experience)
Learn what makes the percussion section tick! This is a great way to jump start a young percussionist prior to private lessons or the school instrumental program. Receive hands-on experience to all the percussion instruments in a fun group setting as well as an introduction to world percussion in the hand drumming class.
- Drumming Group Class , daily from 9-10 AM
- Mallet and Timpani Clinic, daily from 10-11 AM
- Hand Drumming Class, daily from 11 AM-12 PM
- African Drumming Clinic with Lauren Caso on Wednesday, June 29
- Musical Presentation for Family & Friends on final day at 11:15 AM
