DESCRIPTION:Want to know what music classes are like at Winchester Community Music School? Free demos of many classes are being offered during the week of September 2–6. Come try a class and meet the teachers before fall semester begins on September 8. There’s something for all ages! \nDemo Class Schedule & Sign-Up \nPlus\, you can bring the whole family to our annual MusicFest Open House on Sunday\, September7\, 2:00–4:00 PM. This free event features a school-wide instrument petting zoo\, live demos\, a scavenger hunt with prizes\, and more! Have fun exploring the entire building and meeting the instruments. \nIf you wish to enroll in a class after attending a demo\, please be sure to do so at least 48 hours prior to the following week’s class.  Class size is limited and registration is on a first-come\, first-serve basis. Classes that have filled will be removed from the demo class schedule. All participants should be the appropriate age for the class as of 9/1/2025.

DESCRIPTION:WCMS has a wonderful building full of musical instruments—and once a year\, you can come meet them all! Our annual MusicFest is free and fun for all ages. This event features a school-wide instrument petting zoo\, live demos\, a scavenger hunt with prizes\,  and a fun opportunity to explore our building and meet the instruments. Faculty members and current WCMS students will show you what makes each instrument unique and fun. \nFaculty and staff will be available to answer questions about group classes\, ensembles\, and private lessons for kids\, teens\, and adults. We are also holding auditions for ensembles and bands on the same day—sign up for a time slot below. \n\nChamber Music Auditions\nRock\, Jazz\, and Bluegrass Auditions\n\nWould you like to help out at this event as a volunteer? It’s a fun day at the school and we appreciate anyone who has time to lend a hand! There are several volunteer roles and time slots to sign up for.

Broadway On Highland is a wonderful showcase for our voice students and a delightful evening for all! \n\nPerformers should arrive at 6:30 PM on the day of the event to run through their piece once with an accompanist.\n \nGuidelines for Performers: \n\nYou don’t need to be memorized\, but your selection should be well-prepared.\nBring your sheet music in a binder (no loose sheets\, lead or lyric sheets).\nBring an additional copy of your music for the accompanist which is complete\, copied back-to-back\, and in the key in which you plan to sing. It must be three-hole-punched and binder-ready before you arrive to sign up for your run-through time.
