DESCRIPTION:Evaluation Dates:  \n\nSaturday\, April 5\, 1:00 – 6:00 PM\nSunday\, April 6\, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM\n\nWCMS Piano Evaluations are a springtime performance opportunity for dedicated students of WCMS faculty. They are designed to encourage growth and artistic expression for students of all ages. Evaluations are open to students of WCMS teachers\, and your private teacher must recommend participation. \nHow do they work? \nStudents prepare a program to perform for a panel of two adjudicators and receive detailed\, constructive written feedback. Each student’s teacher determines the repertoire and scale requirements for their evaluation. Repertoire does not need to be decided before registration. \nDetails: \n\nRegistration is required to reserve a spot:\n\n December 21: Priority registration deadline for WCMS students. After December 21 the registration will be opened to students from other schools\, and you are not assured a performance spot.\nJanuary 31: Final registration deadline for all students. Repertoire is not required for registration\, and can be determined by the teacher later in the spring.\n February 7: The performance schedule will be finalized and shared no later than February 7. No schedule change requests or refunds will be offered after the schedule is published.\n\n\nEvaluation dates: Saturday\, April 5\, 1:00 – 6:00 PM and Sunday\, April 6\, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM\n\n\nFee: $65\n\nWhat to perform: \n\nPrepare a program of two pieces and two scales. DESCRIPTION:Please note: Broadway on Highland is open only to WCMS singers and their invited guests.\n \nCome support our talented singers and join in with the audience for the sing-along numbers. Broadway on Highland is a wonderful showcase for our voice students and a delightful evening for all! \n\nPerformers should arrive at 6:30 PM on the day of the event to run through their piece once with an accompanist.\n \nGuidelines for Performers: \n\nYou don’t need to be memorized\, but your selection should be well-prepared.\nBring your sheet music in a binder (no loose sheets\, lead or lyric sheets).\nBring an additional copy of your music for the accompanist which is complete\, copied back-to-back\, and in the key in which you plan to sing. It must be three-hole-punched and binder-ready before you arrive to sign up for your run-through time. No a cappella renditions are permitted.\nFamily-friendly lyrics and casual dress—no costumes or props\, please!\nPerformers should arrive at 6:30 PM on the day of the event to run through their piece once with an accompanist. Please feel free to bring a water bottle.\n\nSongs for Audience Sing-Alongs:  Listen in advance to become familiar with the songs!
