Rising Stars String Ensembles (Ages 6-11)
For violin, viola, and cello - no audition required
These beginner string ensembles are a wonderful first step towards building skills for playing in a chamber music group. Students should be playing for at least one year prior to joining, and be comfortable playing in first position on all strings (Suzuki book 1 or equivalent). You will play as a group and learn to feel the beat together. We'll work on ear training to listen to the tuning and understand how your part fits with the harmony of the piece. This will help you work on your own sound production, as well as how to lead and follow within a group.
There is no audition required to enroll. There are two sections: one for cello, and one for violin and viola.

Tuition per semester (15 one-hour sessions): $450
