Join us for Music MAYnia!
Our special theme this year is

Totally '80s!

When is Music MAYnia?
Music MAYnia is traditionally held the first Sunday in May. This year it is May 1, 1:00–5:00 PM.

What is Music MAYnia?
Music MAYnia is an annual music performathon and community festival. Held on the first Sunday in May, Music MAYnia is free and open to the public and features live music, games & activities, refreshments, and more. Student performers of all ages and abilities perform live continuous music (ranging from classical to rock) on multiple stages, and over 800 community members attend this spring celebration annually.

Get psyched: We have a special theme this year in celebration of WCMS's 40th anniversary. It will be a Totally '80s Music MAYnia!

OK, I'm stoked about MAYnia, how can I get in on this totally rad event?

  • We have 300+ a-MAY-zing performers signed up to appear at MAYnia this year in solo, duo, and group performances! Cowabunga, dude!
  • T-shirts will be ready to pick up starting Monday, April 25. You can pick up your t-shirt in the front office anytime before Music MAYnia—or, on the day of the event, performer t-shirts will be available at the sign-in tent. Please wear your t-shirt at MAYnia!
  • The performer schedule has been emailed to participants; you can also view the master schedule by last name. We have four performance areas this year: three outdoor tents + Nichols Hall.

Family, Friends & Visitors:

  • Music MAYnia is going to be a bodacious event this year—a blowout celebration for our 40th anniversary!
  • Totally Tubular Trolley: Ride the free trolley from the Jenks Center in downtown Winchester, with live music onboard! It will run in a continuous loop (5 minute ride) from 12:30 to 6:00 PM. There will be no parking on-site at the school (only street parking). Visitors requiring handicap parking should speak with the police officer at the entrance.
  • Where's the beef? Food will be provided onsite by two food trucks this year: Trolley Dog and Frozen Hoagies. We're psyched about the delicious choices offered by these local companies!
  • Yeah, that's the ticket! Most of the event is free, but we have a few ticketed games and activities including a special '80s Selfie Station with props, costume pieces, and backdrop. Plus, the Wheel of Fortune will have gnarly prizes including mini-Rubik's Cubes, '80s fashion items, and mini-Squishmallows!
  • We Got the Beat! Join us for percussion demos for kids at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 PM in the Living Room.
  • Who's That Girl? Don't be surprised if you spot Madonna or other '80s icons at the event. Feel free to go full '80s with us!

  • Thank you to the many wicked awesome volunteers who have already signed up! We have a few spots left—check the online sign-up for the schedule.

Community Partners and Sponsors:
