Are you a string player who is curious about the art of fiddling? Whether you’re brand new to fiddling or have explored this art form before, this workshop is for you! In this 90-minute session, WCMS teaching artist Molly Tucker will lead participants through learning a fiddle tune and exploring what styling can make your playing sound like fiddle playing. The group will also explore chordal and rhythmic ideas to bring the tune to life in their own way.
This workshop is open to all intermediate-to-advanced string players. Participants should be able to play two-octave G and A Major scales, and should be playing at least at the end of Suzuki Book 1 or the equivalent.
Free for WCMS students; $15 for the general public.
