WCMS offers small group music classes for toddlers, kids, teens, and adults.
Summer Chamber Music Exploration at WCMS is a 3-day chamber music experience for string, piano and woodwind students ages 7-12. This program is ideal for students who are brand new or have had just a couple of years of ensemble playing experience.
WCMS offers flexible summer lesson scheduling to fit your summer plans! Try a new instrument, explore a new style of playing, or continue your lessons from the school year.
This two-week chamber music program provides an in-depth, immersive experience for young musicians that includes multiple chamber ensembles, master classes, music theory/appreciation classes, workshops in special topics, private lessons, arts & crafts, and wellness/recreation. Public performances are held at the conclusion of the program.
Join us for five days of activities designed to bring pianists together in a fun, interactive piano ensemble program. Participants enjoy the social aspects of playing in an ensemble with one another, as well as learning the skills to play in a small group.
For all ages—kids, teens & adults! Summer is the perfect time to try a new instrument, participate in an in-depth program, or take a few lessons on a flexible schedule.
For kids, teens, and adults. If you have a working knowledge of playing the ukulele, come join one of our Ukulele Ensembles and build your uke skills in a fun group setting.
WCMS has ensembles and bands to fit a wide range of ages, interests, and ability levels.
In music theory classes, our goal is to instill a deep appreciation and understanding of music in all of our students. In Music Theory: Fundamentals, we start with the essential building blocks of music and move on to advanced concepts.
For grades 4-10. Our percussion ensembles are designed to enhance a student’s musicianship in all areas of percussion playing, and complement school band programs and private lessons.
Performing in a chamber music ensemble is a very rewarding experience. Students expand their overall musicianship, technique, and performance skills. We welcome grade school children (ages 8+), teens, and adults.
For older children, teens, and adults. For all lovers of jazz, our jazz ensembles consist of a rhythm section, including bass and percussion, and at least one of the following instruments: guitar, piano, brass, woodwind, string, and voice. Throughout the semester, students are coached weekly and learn, develop, and improve improvisation skills.
For ages 11-18. Come learn the ins-and-outs of playing with a rock band! You’ll learn how to read chord charts, work together with your band members, put a song list together, and prepare to play for an audience.
Our faculty members are accomplished professionals in many genres including classical, jazz, rock, folk, blues, country, and popular music.
