Most students begin Suzuki violin instruction between 4 and 8 years old. Learning to play violin using the Suzuki method provides students with an in-depth learning experience that combines individual lessons and group classes. A unique feature of the Suzuki program is that the parent is actively involved in the learning process, and attends all lessons, group classes, and recitals with the child and supervises the home practice.
Children can begin Suzuki lessons for piano or violin as early as age 4, depending upon faculty recommendation. The Suzuki approach combines a method for teaching music with a philosophy that embraces the total development of the child. By integrating listening, a nurturing environment, and parent participation, young children learn to play music in the same organic way that they learn language.
For kids, teens, and adults. If you have a working knowledge of playing the ukulele, come join one of our Ukulele Ensembles and build your uke skills in a fun group setting.
Ukulele is a fun and engaging instrument – it’s portable, fairly inexpensive, great for playing popular music, and fun to sing along with.
Most students begin Suzuki piano instruction between 4 1/2 and 8 years old. The Suzuki Piano program provides young children with a natural, immersive method for learning piano. A unique aspect of the Suzuki program is the high level of parent involvement. Each student works closely with a parent – both at home and in the classroom – attending all lessons and classes together.
This class combines Eurhythmics activities with piano instruction, and is recommended for students who have taken a prior Eurhythmics class or by permission of the instructor.
