✦ Fall Semester 2026 begins September 14 ✦
I began playing guitar when I was five years old. I grew up in a musical family and was constantly around the guitar and music. My father was a professional musician and not only introduced me to guitar, but also taught me how to read music at a young age. As I got older, I began to take music more seriously. I started jamming with my cousin and started my first band with friends in grade school. I have been in bands and playing ever since!
As I progressed into high school, I continued to play in my original rock/metal band and eventually joined the high school Jazz band, all the while advancing my skill, technique, and musicianship. My teenage years were pivotal in my growth as a guitar player and musician as I immersed myself in all sorts of music and developed a real passion for both playing and listening. After high school I enrolled in the UMass Lowell Sound Recording Technology department and began to understand music on a much deeper level. I joined multiple ensembles, took lessons, and eventually joined the metal band that I still currently play in. College was a great learning experience and paved the way for my professional career in music.
After college I began teaching at Performance Music Center in Woburn, MA. I taught thousands of lessons there until they closed their doors in 2024. I also performed gigs with many different musical groups during this time, and started my acoustic duo which still performs in the Greater Boston area professionally.
As a teacher, my greatest joy is seeing a student develop a love and passion for the instrument. I get great satisfaction from seeing a student progress technically, musically, and eventually reaching their goals as a player. I hope to inspire my students and to share the way that music has brought so much to me in my life.
