Group Ukulele Class (for Kids, Teens & Adults)

In-person offering for 2022-2023. Ukulele is a fun and engaging instrument—it's portable, fairly inexpensive, great for playing popular music, and fun to sing along with. It's also a great primer for learning other stringed instruments. Whether you're a beginner or already have a little experience, come join our friendly group classes!

Intro to Ukulele (Ages 6–9)

Join us for some fun and fabulous music! This class will introduce kids to playing ukulele in a group setting. Through musical games, movement, and singing, we'll develop our musicianship skills together. We'll work on chords and strumming, and learn a few songs that are great for beginners. This is also a good refresher class if you have a little bit of uke experience already. Once the first 8-week session is completed, Level 1.5 is for continuing students or by approval of instructor. When you're ready, take the next step and join the WCMS Ukulele Club, where you'll continue to work on songs and build your skills. Maximum of 6 students per session.

Students should come to class with their own ukulele. Suggested entry level brands available locally include:
