Ready, Set, Uke (Ages 6-12)

Got uke? Here's a class to help you play ukulele in a fun group setting. We'll learn a few songs that are great for beginners. Through musical games, movement, and singing, we'll develop our musicianship skills together. This is also a good refresher class if you already have a little bit of uke experience. It's a great stepping stone to joining the WCMS Ukulele Club.

Students should come to the first class with their own Ukulele. Suggested entry level brands available locally include:

Ukulele Club (Ages 8-12 or by permission of instructor)

Join the Club and build your Ukulele playing skills in a fun group setting. The WCMS Ukulele Club is all about learning new songs and playing together in an ensemble. We'll learn pop tunes, camp songs, and old favorites. The Club runs in continuous 8-week sessions but you can start at any point with permission from the instructor. Come with a friend! The Club is open to both WCMS students and non-students who have a working knowledge of playing the ukulele.

Group Ukulele (Ages 13-adult)

Don't let the kids have all the fun...teens and adults can learn to play Uke too! Join us to learn how to play ukulele in a social group setting. We'll teach you the basics you need to know to get going on this popular instrument. You'll come away with having a few songs under your fingers and the ability to figure out more tunes on your own. Students should come to the first class with their own Ukulele - see suggested recommended brands above (under Ready, Set, Uke).
