Eurhythmics Prep for Music Lessons (Ages 6–8)

This single-semester class gives children a head start on the skills they will need to start playing an instrument: developing rhythmical sense; coordination between hands; and reading and writing basic rhythms and melodies on the musical staff.

Each class incorporates:

• Coordination & focus: fast response games and ensemble activities
• Rhythm training: feeling and notating patterns, steady beat, subdivisions
• Music literacy: reading and writing notes on the staff
• Ear training: echoing, identifying, and notating simple melodies
• Creative work: improvisation in movement and simple composition

For children 6-8 years old as of 9/1/2026.

Note: This program can accept new students until the fourth class of the session; please contact the registrar for availability. Tuition will be prorated.
