Join us for a collaborative solo piano concert featuring Dr. Jeong Yun Yang of WCMS with guest artist Dr. Minyoung Rho. As pianists from South Korea, Dr. Rho and Dr. Yang have found in the United States a vibrant environment where different styles, ideas, and histories coexist. In this diverse setting, they have seen music spark curiosity, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging.
The works in this program—by Amy Beach, Mel Bonis, Clifton Callender, and Sergei Rachmaninoff—were each shaped by a similar spirit of musical interaction and communication. A post-concert conversation will reflect on how such interactions enrich our cultural lives.
Free admission—all are welcome. A $20 suggested donation supports our concerts and performers. Held live in Nichols Performance Hall at WCMS and streamed live on our YouTube and Facebook channels.
