Jazz Ensembles (All ages)
For all lovers of jazz, Jazz Ensembles consist of a rhythm section, including bass and percussion, and at least one of the following instruments: guitar, piano, brass, woodwind, string, and voice. Throughout the semester, students—kids, teens, and adults—are coached weekly and learn, develop, and improve improvisation skills. The final class of each semester consists of a warm-up rehearsal and performance.
Spring ensembles begin: January 24 - 30, 2019
Tuition per semester: $425.25 (15 one-hour classes); 10% discount for WCMS private lessons students. (For an ensemble with only two enrolled students, the tuition is $588.75 per participant..)
Audition Requirements: Scale of your choice; musical selection currently being studied; improvisation.
Placement auditions: Please submit an online inquiry and an instructor will contact you with more information.
Days and times: Additional groups can be formed based on student and faculty availability.
